Item Description
Three pristine, water-clear, colorless, gem topaz crystals are aesthetically set on the sculptural blocky small cabinet matrix. The sharp glassy and lustrous prisms, to 2.7 cm, are enhanced by the interesting etched terminations and prism faces. The locality is known for fine topaz specimens and this is an uncommon excellent specimen with unusual style. It is possible this is from the more commonly known topaz mine at GaoLi GongShan locale, but we are not sure - it might be from an independent nearby hole in the ground. Many deposits here were worked artisanally in the time Kurt collected early China mineral exports.
