Item Description

A delightful striking cabinet sized display specimen of these famous Topaz crystals from Dassu featuring a glassy, razor-sharp, GEM QUALITY prismatic crystal measuring 2.4 cm, smartly positioned in the center of a group of gorgeous white bladed Albite (var: Cleavelandite). The Topaz has a very slight pink hue, which is rare in my experience with this material, as they are either more of a sherry color or virtually colorless. If you flip the piece over, you'll see the matrix is has rich coverage of soft lilac colored sparkling Lepidolite Mica, so it's not solid Albite throughout. Several additional smaller Topaz crystals can be seen on the top/display side of the specimen for a nice touch. No major damage, only a few TINY "flea bites" that I could find on the main Topaz crystal. Valued $3,000.
From the collection of George Elling, a prominent East Coast collector.
