Item Description

FIRST OFF, let me say that this piece looks better in person, it was difficult to photograph. A classic and fine quality GEM sherry colored Topaz crystals from the famous Thomas Range in Utah. The piece is absolutely WATER CLEAR with a fantastic stepped termination and that classic golden / sherry color that made these specimens so desirable and well-known around the world. It's hard to obtain such pristine and well-formed singular examples of this material these days, as most of it has dried up. This piece was most likely mined circa late 1970s. A wonderful textbook thumbnail of these classic US Topaz specimens. From the collection of Senator / Dr. Miguel Romero of Teuhuacan, Mexico (Collection #4853).
