Item Description

From the Margabal Mine, known for its Torbernites, this is an excellent example of well-formed, individual Torbernites clustered atop a crystalline matrix. Classic and attractive, these light green Torbernites range up to 6 mm and they have a preferential, neon-green fluorescense. Adding greatly to the mineralogical interest of this piece is the field of mm-size, beige crystals that the Torbernites rest on, for these crystals have an unusual and enchanting cornflower-blue fluorescense. Formerly in the collection of French collector Michel Fouty, this aesthetic miniature was #13,068 in Kay's collection.
