Item Description

Tourmalines are some of the most diverse gems out there. They occur in a wide range of colors and varieties. This new Burmese material is some of the most interesting and unique of any Tourmaline I've seen in recent memory. These gems are more than likely a combination of two or more species with the pink being Elbaite (Rubellite) and the black is possibly Schorl with the chance of an intermediary species in between. This stone is 75% pink in color, and is translucent/gemmy in clarity. The tip of the stone has a black "pupil" that allows this gem to resemble and eyeball. A few years ago there was a lot of this material available, but it seems that these gems have quickly dried up, so don't miss out on this opportunity to get this unique gem for a great price.
