Item Description

Densely intergrown jackstraw sections of lustrous, glassy, gemmy to translucent, striated, bottle-green tourmaline sections form a very rich and striking 360-degree mounded small cabinet from an unknown Minas Gerais pegmatite. The crystal sections reach about 5.0 cm on this specimen. Yes, there is periphery wear, but this remains a very rich, showy, highly representative 100% tourmaline specimen. From an East Coast collection. Undoubtedly older material from the 1960s or 70s, but no proof.
