Item Description

A very nice pair of polychrome Tourmaline crystals on Quartz from the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. I have seen many Tourmaline specimens from Stak Nala for many years and the one characteristic of that many of them lacked was decent color. The crystals measure up to 4.1 cm and feature several colors ranging from a light pink shade on the terminations, ranging into a slight colorless ("Achroite") zone, then a beautiful yellow-green color which gives way to an olive-green color, and ending with a very dark green (nearly black) hue. The crystals are aesthetically sitting on a translucent, partial Quartz crystal. The piece is gemmy and has great luster along the prism faces and the termination, which is not common for this material. Found in 2002.
