Tourmaline (multicolor)

A beautiful multicolor Tourmaline thumbnail from Brazil. The piece starts out with a rich green hue at the termination which transitions into a soft yellowish color, ending with a pinkish-orange tone at the base. If you look at the underside of the crytal, it actually has a slightly "hollow" / skeletal growth. A few tiny nicks keep it from being 100% damage free, but it's still in great shape with superb color and gemminess. The faces are notably lustrous, with graceful striations on all sides. A small bit of purplish "Lepidolite" is flaring off the side for a nice touch. A great piece to add to a Tourmaline collection, a thumbnail suite or a collection of gem crystals.
