Item Description

A wonderful small cabinet sized specimen from the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. A group gorgeous, sharp, gemmy, polychrome DOUBLY-TERMINATED Tourmaline crystals measuring 4.3 cm piercing through a gemmy, colorless hexagonal Quartz crystal. The Tourmaline crystals features a myriad of colors starting with a gorgeous pink hue on the pyramidal terminations that grade into a colorless "Achroite" zone and then transition into and a very dark (almost black) green hue in the center of the prisms, ending then into a lighter yellow-green hue and ending with another zone of pink color on the basal termination. This is a highly showy and three-dimensional display specimen, and nearly a complete "floater" as the areas which detached from the pocket were recrystallized ("re-healed") with white Albite in areas. A few smaller secondary Tourmaline crystals can be seen on the underside of the piece for a really great touch. No major damage anywhere, and it's a far cry from your typical Stak Nala specimen as we rarely see pieces with such great form and fine doubly-terminated crystals on matrix like this. Valued at $2,500 retail in the inventory.
