Item Description

A classic and eye-catching miniature sized specimen from the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. Keep in mind that the majority of the Tourmalines found in this part of the world come from Afghanistan, and there are only a handful of premier Tourmaline localities in Pakistan. These crystals from Stak Nala are well known for their multicolor crystals and beautiful aesthetics. The crystal on this piece features a few colors ranging from a thin dark green zone at the termination, which transitions into a soft straw-green color, which gives way to a small area of a more vibrant greened, and ends with a very dark forest-green color (it's virtually black without strong backlighting) throughout. To top it off, the crystal is associated with a white bladed "rosettes" of Albite var: Cleavelandite. The prism faces of the Tourmaline are very lustrous for this material, and the termination has a bit more of a matte luster. This is a great display piece and a wonderful pegmatite specimen from a classic locality. These piece are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in today's market. This one is from a find in the late Fall of 2005 in Pakistan.
