Item Description

A gorgeous, gemmy and lustrous, bi-colored tourmaline from the famous Santa Rosa Mine. Most of this stunning, well-striated beauty is a very pleasing grass-green and is capped off with a pretty 5 mm teal-blue zone at the termination. This crystal is complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only very trivial termination and edgewear (really just one small 5mm shear at the termination's edge, only) to be expected on material from this era of collecting. Classic, old-time, bi-colored material from the 1960s or 70s - and very seldom available in this fine color and quality. Rather robust for its height at 44 grams. Ex Bill Larson Collection. Valued at $3000 and worth it. Long in the display tourmaline collection at Pala Intl in Fallbrook, California.
