Item Description

A pair of prismatic "pencils" of dark green Tourmaline sit on a WATER CLEAR Quartz crystal from an undisclosed locality in Brazil. The Tourmalines need a bit of backlighting for the color to come through, but it's there. The largest Tourmaline measures 1.0 cm long. Both of the Tourmaline have crude basal terminations on one end, but unfortunately are contacted on the other end. Classic material from Brazil, which has produced some of the most iconic Tourmaline specimens in the world. From the collection of Rolando Gioia (a contributor to new definitive book on Brazilian minerals: "Minerais e Pedras Preciosas do Brasil").
