Item Description

A STRIKING column of intergrown, watermelon-pink tourmaline crystals from the famous Cruzeiro Mine of Brazil. The crystals at the base have a weird, tabular crystal form, like uvites from Brumado. This RARE and dramatic beauty is complete all-around and is very nearly pristine, with only one, trivial contact near the top. You have to look hard to see it and is certainly not a detraction, as you can see. This is CLASSIC, old, 1960s-1970s material from this renowned locale. Ex George Elling Collection. Value of such an unusal, older tourmaline??? I have never seen another like it from this locale. In fact, it LOOKS Himalaya Mine in color. But nothing of this style was found there. It is a bizarre tourmaline, regardless.
