Tourmaline var. Indicolite

Item Description

This is a dark blue tourmaline specimen with a vivid color, when strongly lit (the lighting here is shown in our standard lights, not weak and not too strong). When a light is held right up to it, it goes more blue and more translucent, of course. It does have some damage on the sides (minimal in context), and a fair amount of damage to the backside. This is a lot of indicolite for the price, depending on what it goes for, and some of this darker blue material makes for good carvign and cabochon rough. The crystal is complete on to, though rough and contacted where it grew against something else. 93 grams
