Item Description

A beautiful miniature specimen featuring several very gemmy, intense green Tourmaline crystals with beautiful green color proudly projecting from a flowery "bed" of GEMMY! white, bladed Albite crystals. This attractive and and aesthetic piece hails from the famous Golconda Mine of Brazil and is a highly desirable old-timer from the 1970s. The piece comes from the collection of Rich Kosnar, who personally obtained the piece in Brazil. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the specimen is the fact that the termination on the largest crystal shows a notable and rarely seen SILVER-PURPLE color and a beautiful "cat's eye" effect, which is certainly uncommon for the mineral. The quality and aesthetics, the stark contrast to the crystallized Albite blades of the matrix is classic for this mine from this era, but few are seen for sale nowadays. Great quality and really eye-catching when noting the main Tourmaline crystal.
