Item Description

This is a showy beautiful miniature size specimen featuring a fine soft pink Tourmaline crystal measuring 3.1 cm, aesthetically perched atop a matrix composed of soft purplish colored bladed "Lepidolite". Please note that Lepidolite used to be a valid species, but it is now defined as a series between Polylithionite and Trilithionite. Afghanistan has truly produced some of the most attractive Tourmaline specimens around for the last 30 years or so, and they have really held their own against Tourmalines from other world localities. The Tourmaline crystal on this specimen is gemmy/translucent with sharp lustrous faces. Very minor imperfections, but nothing major, and the piece is very eye-catching! It is becoming more and more difficult to obtain good quality Tourmalines from Paprok for decent prices, compared to 10+ years ago.
