Tourmaline with Lepidolite ex Meieran

Cruzeiro Mine red tourmaline is one of those instantly recognizable varieties of style, as they have such a nice, typical strong pink-red color to them (part of the reason it is so valued in the gem and jewelry trade, and so few specimens survive as a result!). This piece has that fabulous color, combined with strong luster. It is uniquely decorated with small purple lepidolite crystals, and perched on a matrix of more sparkling purple lepidolite. The crystal has several clean repairs (I count 3, although they are super clean, tight, and hard to spot) and is complete all around. It is probably an older crystal - the lepidolite association is unique, and was only found a few times here. It sparkles in a case with a unique color/luster combination, just a bit less saturated than a Jonas red tourmaline, and more bright and "happy" if I had to describe how it looks on a shelf, which is gorgeous.
