Item Description

Tuperssuatsiaite is a very rare hydrated sodium, iron silicate and villiaumite is a very rare sodium halide (NaF). They are found in unusual alkaline igneous rocks. This 2.0 cm vug hosts several, ball-like sprays, to 5 mm, of lustrous, brown, tuperssuatsiaite needles and the back wall and floor of the vug are pepered with glassy, amber, euhedral, villiaumite crystals to about 1 mm. rare combination material from Namibia and the Robert Whitmore Collection.
