615 grams of beautiful , mixed sizes of turquoise pebbels, nodules, and slabs from the famous Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Mine located in Globe, Arizona , which was considered to be one of the most important American Turquoise mines in the world for the quality of the robin's-egg blue material. The Sleeping Beauty mine is seven miles outside Globe, AZ and was closed in 2012. Sleeping Beauty turquoise was noted for its solid, light blue color with no matrix. This lot came fro mthe old estate of a longtime lapidary dealer, and had been wrapped up and in a box for decades. The largest nugget is 68 grams and 6.7 x 4.8 x 1.6 cm. The largest cut slab is 69.4 grams and 9 x 8 x 6 cm in size. Sold as a lot ONLY.
