Turquoise ps. After Fluorapatite (RARE)

Turquoise pseudomorphs after well-formed fluorapatite crystals are EXTREMELY RARE from Mongolia. Beautiful turquoise-blue turquoise has replaced a very sharp, terminated, hexagonal fluorapatite crystal. This striking piece is from a very small find a number of years ago that I bought in the late 1990s and never saw again. It resembles similar rare pseudomorphs from several Mexico localities but those are more slender and small, and big crystals like this are much rarer! Tjhe only localtion I remember from back in that time was "mongolia" and no more have come since. it seems to have been a one-off from the early china export days.
