Item Description

Fine calcite specimens from this obscure Eastern Oklahoma locality are rare and are very seldom on the market. This showy and excellent piece is a pair of interpenetrating rhombs. The large, translucent and lustrous rhombs are light gray and the crystal faces are lightly frosted and striated. The back of the piece is cleaved, but it really shows the twinning plane of this desirable calcite. The front of the piece is essentially pristine, with only very trivial periphery wear. Choice and rare material for the species and locale. Ex Schlichter Collection. A must for the calcite collector.
