Item Description
A superlative, RARE and sharp floater thumbnail magnetite twin from a very obscure Minas Gerais locale. The 360-degree twin is razor sharp with super lustre and fantastic twinned form. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a gently bruised corner and edge. Bom Sucesso Creek is better known as one of the few Minas Gerais localities, that produced Platinum and Palladian Platinum nuggets. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 12768 and acquired in the early 2000s from Carlos Barbosa. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017). An exceptionally rare twinned magnetite crystal from Minas Gerais.
