Item Description

Umangite is a very rare copper-selenium selenide first described in 1891 and this specimen is from the Type Locality. Bluish red-black umangite grains are scattered between the rich covering of blue crystals of chalcomenite, an even RARER copper-selenium hydroxide and pods and stringers of malachite. The very rare, rich and showy selenium combination material is VERY SELDOM on the market from this locale. Ex Dr. Werner Paar and Josef Vajdak Collections. I know both of them and completely trust the analysis, therefore. Valued at $400
