Unusual Doubly-terminated Calcite

A remarkable, very complex large two-sided doubly terminated compound calcite crystal from the famous Elmwood Mine. The sculptural highly lustrous, glassy and translucent crystal has multiple striking terminations, many with desirable gem golden-amber tips. It resembles a fish with a fan-like tail, sharp nose and prominent dorsal fin in one view. Essentially pristine and very nearly a rare floater. The small attachment appears to be the small white calcite at the base of one side. This is a noteworthy, highly unusual calcite crystal style from this renowned locale. It displays beautifully from either side without aid on two views. Valued at $800-1000 for uncommon style and artistic quality.
