Item Description

A showy and excellent arborescent miniature from the classic, but now hard to obtain, source of the San Carlos Mine of Chihuahua, Mexico. Striking spray or branch-like clusters of lustrous, translucent, honey-brown, textbook hexagonal, vanadinite spindles are attractively accented with glassy, colorless calcite rhombs on the front and even moreso, on the backside. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine. This is a RARE (especially the calcite), combination specimen in this quality and crystal form. These came out in the 1960s and 70s, with none since. Ex Dave Stoudt Collection # 1189.
