Item Description

This is a great thumbnail size specimen. A wonderfully well balanced, doubly-terminated, group of red to brown, thick, lustrous, prismatic, hexagonal crystals of Vanadinite. It's very good quality with no damage that I can see with the naked eye. It looks like it's a complete "floater". These specimens are common on the market, but they remain as the standard of quality for the species, and should not be discarded due to their abundance. From the collection of legendary mineral collector, Jack Halpen of San Francisco, California. Jack was also a founding member of the Golden State Lily Society, and a former president of both the San Francisco Orchid Society and the San Francisco Rose Society.
