Mibladen Vanadinites have set the standard for the species. For approximately 50 years, the best of what the species has to offer has come from this locality. Honestly, were it not for these specimens, Vanadinite would not be terribly well represented in the mineral world. They simply are the finest examples of the species extant. This piece features superb quality, rich red color, razor sharp, very lustrous, thick hexagonal crystals beautifully measuring up to 1.3 cm free of matrix. Looking closely I can't find any real damage of note to the central crystals, and I really love the fact that they are well isolated and free-standing forming a very three-dimensional piece. A SHOWY and near top competition quality Vanadinite specimen from this prestigious locale. The piece comes with a label from Heliodor (van Scrivers) who imported some of the best pieces from Mibladen in the early 2000s. Valued at $2,750 in the inventory.
