Vanadinite (NEW FIND)

Item Description

A striking, free-form, sculptural specimen festooned with lustrous, brick-red, hexagonal, vanadinite prisms to 1.2 cm from a brand new find near Mibladen, Morocco! All of the vannies have gemmy areas. We have recently posted Gallery updates on this new find. The architecture of this piece looks great from three sides. All of the vannies have a preferential coating of brown material on some faces, but can be strongly minimized by rotating the piece, as you can see in the photos. A bit of modest periphery wear near the matrix is certainly not a detraction. The piece is in excellent shape for the dense coveage. Highly representative of the species and new find.
