Item Description

This is a fantastic small cabinet sized display specimen of this classic material from Morocco. Fine quality, very sharp, highly lustrous, intense red to orange-red color hexagonal tabular crystals of Vanadinite measuring up to 1.3 cm sit beautifully on the white bladed Barite matrix. This association is so iconic, and this combo is the most desirable for Mibladen with isolated Vanadinites sprinkled over Barite. It's not your run-of-the-mill Vanadinite, and very good quality with very little damage. This one easily came out around 40 years ago, and is indicative of the older style. The quality doesn't come through in the photos, but it's a choice specimen. These specimens are common on the market, but they remain as the standard of quality for the species, and should not be discarded due to their abundance. From the collection of Senator / Dr. Miguel Romero of Teuhuacan, Mexico (Collection #3837).
