Isolated gemmy and lustrous, sharply hexagonal, tabular vanadinite prisms have stunning top-flight cherry-red color and are aesthetcially set on the oxide-coated bladed barite matrix on this extremely showy and highly representative example from Mibladen. The striking large crystal is 1.1 cm. The noted periphery wear to the barite is certainly only a modest detraction, otherwise this would be a $1000-1250 piece. The rich red color and crystal isolation is remarkable for the locale.
