Item Description
A surreal and RARE example of where geology meets biology from famed Mibladen, source of the world's finest vanadinites. Tiny, lustrous, textbook hexagonal, tabular orange-brown vanadinite prisms, to 2 mm, are dramatically festooned on part of the front of the well-preserved, symmetrical, fossilized mollusc (clam)! The mollusc is probably a Cretaceous-aged species (145-66 MYA). First we have seen of these! A very rare, perhaps unique vanadinite find from Mibladen, from a small group found in 2020 (so we were told).
