Item Description

A fascinating, color-varied Vanadinite specimen from Morocco, this stands out from the crowd. The Vanadinites initially are a lustrous, deep-orange along the matrix, and they literally blossom into a forest of light-orange crystals up to 1 cm in size. It may be that all formed at once, and the larger crystals later got a preferential coating, of another color? It is hard to say. But we can say this is a very unusual, aesthetic specimen that is different from the thousands of others out there. These last-generation crystals are classic in their hexagonal form, but they are much more complex as they have beveled edges and numerous small, intergrown crystals on many of the faces. There is Goethite intermixed as part of the matrix, and the aesthetics and unusual nature of the Vanadinites create an interest and eye appeal. It is extraordinarily 3-Dimensional.
