Vanadinite on Psilomelane (ex Rich and Brian Kosnar Collection)

Morocco set the world standard for Vanadinite specimens, and for decades has provided collectors with superb specimens. This particular piece was mined about 30 years ago and features fine, sharp, lustrous, gemmy red prisms of Vanadinite on Psilomelane (Manganese Oxide). Please note that this mine has been closed and hasn't produced specimens for several years. The largest Vanadinite measures 7 mm, and the contrast of red and gey makes for a really eye-catching display specimen. From the collection of Rich Kosnar, who gave the piece to Brian Kosnar when he was a kid.
