These notably stunning green Variscite specimens are truly some of the most richly colored examples of the species from anywhere. This species is well known from Utah in massive uncrystallized examples, and the specimens from Brazil should be appreciated more for their quality and the fact that they're CRYSTALLIZED! These are by no means common, and should be appreciated for their superb quality and rich color. This piece features a pair of crystallized radiating "spheres" of deep green Variscite measuring up to 5 mm on Chalcedony matrix. Very attractive up close with sparkling luster. A fine example of this beloved phosphate from Brazil. You might see these pieces listed as coming from Itumbiara in Goias, but they are in fact from Ribeirao Cascalheira in the state of Mato Grosso.
