Item Description

Variscite specimens are very uncommon from this less well-known limestone quarry used for making cement. The quarry also hosts other phosphate species. Colorful, variable green pods and veins are artistically set on the front of the blocky brecciated limestone matrix. Tiny spheroids of off-white carbonate-rich fluorapatite are a fine accessory to this showy and uncommon combination from a recent find.
