Item Description

A sculptural pair of intergrown ferberite crystals with distinctively different form and similar sloping terminations from famed Panasqueira. The lustrous textbook tabular crystals have classic striated prism faces and starkly contrasting smooth termination faces. The tiny flattened tan siderite rhombs on the back add character. One side is contacted, but is mostly out-of-sight in the fine frontal display view. Ex Francesco Bedogne Collection # 496. Dr. Bedogne, 1942-2012, was a well-known Italian mineralogist, prolific author, field collector and collector. Read his biography in the Mineralogical Record Biographical Archive: http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=118. Classic and excellent Panasqueira ferberite.
