Item Description

A sharp, large almandine garnet dodecahedron from this less well-known district 30 km West of Broken Hill. The lustrous, textbook almandine has mottled reddish-brown color and patches of embedded green schist are a nice accent. Specimens from here are uncommon. A fine example from the Chet Lemanski Collection and acquired in 2000 at the Tucson Show.
