Item Description

A lovely gemmy green prismatic crystal group of Vesuvianite from the classic (and now nearly finished) Jeffrey Mine in Canada. This locality is one of the largest open-pit Asbestos mines in the world, and is well known for its colorful and distinctive Vesuvianite specimens which can range in color from colorless to purple to green in most cases. This piece is a distinctive crystal group and is in great shape overall, although the main crystal does have a small contact near the termination. The color is excellent on this toenail sized specimen, and now that very little is coming out of this mine (soon to be nothing), so be sure to get specimens from Jeffrey while you can.
