A gemmy pair of root beer-brown, tetragonal vesuvianite crystals stand over a recumbent comrade on the nubby field of lustrous, translucent, orange-red, grossular garnets on this very nifty combination thumbnail from this famed Italian locale. There are a few more vesuvianites scattered among the garnets. The trivial bit of periphery wear is certainly a very modest detraction to this classic and aesthetic combination specimen from the Will Henderson Collection.
