Item Description

These are truly some of the most distinctive crystals in the world because virtually no other species has this amazing color. The best of these manganese-bearing Vesuvianite crytals are rather vibrant with an intense reddish-violet color. This eye-catching thumbnail specimen shows prismatic crystals with the classic reddish-violet color on the terminations, and a lighter hue near the center. They have great luster and form as well. The largest crystal measures 7 mm log. Pieces like this are becoming very scarce on the market, and truly should be appreciated for the uniqueness. The Jeffrey Quarry is now completely defunct and these amazing Vesuvianite specimens are no longer being found. Minimal damage, but in good shape overall.
