Item Description

Vesuvianite is a rare species from this remote and now famous locality, but here is a showy and excellent specimen from a New Find. Splendent, sharp, black to olive-green, prisms to about 2.0 cm are richly clustered on all sides of the solid vesuvianite matrix. Scattered contacting and broken crystals are noted, but this remains a highly representative example of this uncommon species from this noted locale. The dense crystal forest and radial sprays are real highlights to this nifty piece.
