Vesuvianite (rare locality specimen)

This is the only specimen of Vesuvianite we've had to offer from this locality, and a quick search on mindat.org reveals that they are quite rare, as there isn't a single specimen on their database for comparison. This aesthetic miniature display specimen features a gorgeous, highly lustrous, richly golden-green colored crystal measuring 1.6 cm with excellent, distinct, euhedral faces on all sides, perched atop off-white colored Calcite matrix. The Vesuvianite crystal is in superb condition, with no major damage that I can see with the naked eye. If you collect minerals of Pakistan, this is something that I highly doubt you have in your collection, and it was likely collected couple decades ago, so you probably won't see another anytime soon. He started collecting seriously at the age of 14 and his great and varied worldwide collection reached over 6000 pieces. He was very active mineralogically until shortly before his passing in 2020 at the age of 82. Considering his collection had a large number of pieces, it still had an unusually high standard of quality from most worldwide localities. He particularly specialized in all classics as well as minerals of the Black Forest, where he spent much time collecting. His Black Forest and German subcollections went to his good friend Wolfgang Wendel.
