Item Description
Gemmy and lustrous, brown vesuvianite crystals to 6 mm RICHLY and aesthetically line a very 3-dimensional, vuggy matrix, which are very nicely complimented by contrasting, green augite crystals. The vesuvianite crystals really sparkly in light. This showy and excellent specimen is from the less well-known Italian locality of Vedretta di Solda, in the South Tyrol Mountains. Ex Rolf Wein Collection, a noted Alpine specialist, and collected in 1979.
