(note $20 bid increments) Yes, this is a shameless gimmicky invite to get somebody who has not already been here to come visit me in Dallas. The prize is good anytime, as our mutual schedules allow, for 1 person for 2 days and a night (weekdays, please). Come see my shop, warehouse, and more importantly visit and meet a few of the local collectors while here! The auction is a gimmick, I admit...its to convince somebody that it is worth it to come down here. Whatever your bid may be, I will cover airfare in the US and a nice hotel (Radisson, nearby) for your visit. I'll even buy lunch and coffee. In fact, I will up the offer to PROVE I am not trying to make money off this auction itself but rather use it as inducement to bring a newbie into town...any amount bid over the actual cost of the plane ticket itself will be comped against a mineral purchased on your visit! Just like Vegas...
