Item Description
Three generations of wavellite are visible on this showy and excellent CABINET specimen from a NEW 2010 find at Avant, Arkansas. Lime-green, botryoidal wavellite encrusts much of the brecciated novaculite matrix. Lustrous, translucent, pretty grass-green, bladed botryoids are a super accent on several faces and a sculptural 5.0 cm vug on one end of the piece is filled with translucent, apple-green, bladed botryoids. This is an fine example of this new find, as it showcases three varieties of wavellite.
