Item Description

Some of the most aesthetic and displayable specimens of Wavellite have come from the Siglo XX mine in Bolivia as described by Mark Bandy. This piece does not disappoint with a few sparkling, creamy yellow color, sphere-shaped radiating aggregates which are associated with GEM quality Quartz crystals, surrounded by smaller Wavellites on matrix. The largest Wavellite measures 6 mm across and the spheres are totally undamaged and very attractive. Interestingly enough, these Wavellites fluoresce under UV light, which is uncommon in my experience with the material.
