Item Description
A RARELY seen specimen from the state of Alabama featuring small yellowish spherical groups of Wavellite on black Chert matrix. The largest "ball" of Wavellite measures about 2 mm across. I photographed the piece under the microscope to better illustrate the quality. I've only seen two of these pieces, and this one is certainly the better of the two. From the collection of Harold Urish, whose label on the base states that it came from Lee Willman in 1998.
