Item Description

Mineral specimens from this extinct Alabama small iron-phosphate pit are rare and are seldom on the market. The blocky, hefty hematite matrix hosts striking chatoyant veins of radial sprays of green and oxide-tinted wavellite needles. A 1.2 cm sea-green patch of terminated botryoidal wavellites is a nice accent. This material has previously been misidentified as beraunite, but has found to be wavellite. Wavellite specimens of this richness are VERY RARE from here.
