Weloganite (fine crystals)

Item Description

Weloganite is a Holy Grail Canadian species with easily the world's finest examples of this very rare carbonate species coming from the famed and closed Francon Quarry in Montreal. This is an aesthetic thumbnail cluster of typically layered, tapered forms of the lustrous, straw-yellow crystals complimented by the white spout-like tops. The large crystal is essentially pristine, with the secondary crystal having a cleaved base. This remains a very showy, excellent and highly representative thumbnail example of this extremely rare and desirable species.
