Item Description

"Wheatsheaf" bundles of rhodochrosite scalenohedrons are among the rarest and most desirable varietals from the renowned late 1970s finds at the N'Chwaning I Mine. The adorable doubly terminated thumbnail bundles feature beautiful gemmy terminations with strikingly different light pink translucent centers. The dramatic single doubly terminated crystal is 9 mm long and is a super accent. The black manganite inclusions add color and contrast. Previously in the Helen & Joe Warinsky Collection. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection and acquired from Richard Hauck in 1995. A classic and aesthetic wheatsheaf rhodo thumbnail.
